New Star Tours Preview Restores My Faith in Disney -
I visited Disneyland in Anaheim, CA just 3 weeks ago to take a tour of the forest moon of Endor for the last time. Oddly enough, I always got stuck with Capt. “Rex” RX-24 and his over-exuberant trial-and-error piloting. Just when I believe he has failed me for the last time, the stupid droid and his astromech navigator, R2-D2, blow up my Death Star… again. But I digress.
Star Tours, as we’ve known it since 1987, is closed at the Disneyland Resort and will soon close for good at DisneyWorld in Orland, FL. It will be replaced with Star Tours II and, according to rumor, offer multiple destinations (and I hope an alternate Starspeeder captain). Check out the Disney blog and video preview shown just this week at Star Wars Celebration V.
